Sync only subset of sites


You can assign fine grained permissions to the application by using the Sites.Selected permissions instead of Sites.Read.All. More info on this (external) link.

If you want to use this approach, please reach out to your Solution Engineer and provide her with a list of URL, site ID’s and web ID's to which the service principal has access.

For example:

How to find Site ID's and Web ID's?

You can use the following URLs in the browser and you will be able to find the resulting ID on the browser page. 

  • To Get Site ID, hit this URL in the browser: 
    https://<tenant>.sharepoint.com/sites/<site-url>/_api/site/id
  • To get the Web ID (or Subsite ID) use: 
    https://<tenant>.sharepoint.com/<site-url>/_api/web/id

Sync the entire SharePoint


If you want to sync the entire SharePoint, then proceed immediately to the steps for setting up the integration.
