💡 Some tips and tricks while searching in Lexis® Create DMS
- Perhaps you don’t remember the exact clause title, but specific wording instead? No problem, just add multiple terms in the search bar and find what you were looking for.
- When you do an exact search, use quotation marks [“...”] to indicate if keywords need to appear in a specific order. For example: you are looking for a force majeure clause and want to exclude clauses that mention the separate wording. Enter “force majeure” in the search bar and Lexis® Create DMS will only show clauses that have ‘force majeure’ in that specific order in the title or text.
- You can combine multiple filters to find information more quickly. For example: purchaser warranties in a 'share purchase agreement' in the year 2021 by Partner A will find results for a purchaser warranties clause in a share purchase agreement by Partner A that was last edited in 2021.
- With the filter Contract has the words you can search for any term mentioned in the contract you are looking for
- Think about: counterparty names, Covid-19 or other specific terms
