SharePoint Cloud (Service Principal) integration GUIDE

Step-by-step guide to integrate SharePoint via Service Principal

Important: Please ensure that your DMS API endpoint is accessible on port 443, port 8443, or port 9443.

Why choose for a Service Principal?

  • More secure
  • No need to create a Service user or use credentials
  • the connection between Lexis® Create DMS and Sharepoint doesn't get interrupted when a password is changed or any other event

Note: In cases where an out-of-the-box integration with your Document Management System (DMS) is not available, you can transfer your data (precedents, templates etc.) to SharePoint Cloud.  Overview of some important criteria to consider.

  1. Database review: Decide on what to synchronize
  2. Sharepoint admin: Register Lexis® Create DMS and create Service Principal
  3. Lexis® Create DMS Administrator on customer side: Connect via Lexis® Create DMS Portal
  4. Deploy Word/Outlook Add-In

By following the above steps your SharePoint Cloud will be integrated with Lexis® Create DMS via Service Principal.
